Newcomer!

Name: Diddy Kong
Video Game Debut: Donkey Kong Country [SNES]
About: It's about time that Donkey Kong's faithful sidekick joined the fray: I think the big guy was getting a little lonely. In Brawl, Diddy Kong is yet another newcomer ready to impress. His resemblance to the big DK is limited to his species however, as his fighting techniques and movement are one of a kind. Ever throw a peanut at someone? How about a REALLY big peanut? Yeap, it packs a good punch, and that's one of the many attacks that you can expect from Diddy.

Special Moves

Standard Special: Peanut Popgun

Diddy's standard special move is original, to put it plainly. I mean, I surely wouldn't have expected to see a giant peanut launcher in Smash Bros.

You can charge the projectile attack and boost the speed of the shot, but be warned: holding the button for too long will cause the gun to explode, and no monkey would want that.

As an added bonus, after the peanut shell breaks, you can then eat the peanut that is left behind to recover health. Talk about nifty.

Up Special: Rocketbarrel Boost

A flying gorilla. Huh. Who would have thought.

You can also charge the flight before launch to increase power, and change the direction using the control stick. Don't forget to wear a seatbelt if you do.

And if ever you're attacked while performing this stunt, the Rocketbarrels will come off and may hit an opponent, damaging them on contact.

Final Smash: Rocketbarrel Barrage

For Diddy's Final Smash, he makes use of both the Peanut Popgun and Rocketbarrel Boost. See that glow in his eyes? That's mischief.

The attack is fierce as he wields two Peanut Popguns, his Rocketbarrels propelling him into the air to gain a better angle on his targets.

Use the control stick to guide Diddy as he flies, his Peanut Popguns constantly firing straight down.

When time finally runs out, the Rocketbarrels explode and Diddy is sent back down to solid ground.

Afterwards, peanuts will remain from the wreckage. Get to them first before your enemies for some quick health recovery.
