Video Game Debut: Kirby's Dream Land [GB]
About: The mischievous king from the Kirby series finally makes his appearance in Smash Bros. As always, we can expect the clumsy antagonist to cause chaos and frustration in the smash world, much like what was done in Dream Land. However, with a new powerful mechanized mallet, as well as a loyal fleet of followers ready to fight t'ill the end, all will want to take him more seriously.

Special Moves

Side Special: Waddle Dee Toss

King Dedede will pull out a Waddle Dee and throw it for this special move. They will then wander around until defeated.

A slightly more intimidating Waddle Doo may also appear in its place.

Even Gordos might appear at times. I wonder where he stores all the little guys?

Up Special: Super Dedede Jump

Some may find it surprising how high the determined king can jump when he wants to.

Dedede then falls downward, smashing the ground with his hammer, causing a significant impact. Beware though: he will be vulnerable after performing the technique. So if your attack doesn't look as though it will succeed, simply cancel it by taping down on the control stick.

Down Special: Jet Hammer

You can charge up the attack and unleash it on unsuspecting opponents. You can also move around while it's fully charged, although you can't use the shielf in order to reserve it for later.
