Video Game Debut: Sonic the Hedgehog [SG]
About: Could it be? That's right, Sonic the Hedgehog is in Brawl. Sega's pride and joy is one which has been competing, although indirectly, against Nintendo's mascot Mario for years. However, as of the release of Brawl, Sonic will have a chance to take the fight to the battlefield. As usual, he's a speedy character and boasts some of his signature moves from previous games including the Spin Dash. His agility is something which will overwhelm some, but those who can master it will not remain unrewarded.

Special Moves
Side Special: Spin Dash
Sonic performs a spin dash at incredible speeds, an attack which can be charged a bit too.
You can also rise from the ground when spinning, and take note that it's a two hit combo.
Up Special: Spring Jump
A spring will appear below Sonic, sending him way up into the air. If used on the ground, the spring will also remain after the move is performed, meaning that other players could also use it.
Down Special: Spin Charge
This Spin Charge is yet another move which can be charged up for increased speed and strength. It may also appeal to other over the Spin Dash to the lack of a "pop" when performing the attack.
Final Smash: Super Sonic
When Sonic gets the Smash Ball, the 7 Chaos Emeralds appear before him, allowing him to transform into Super Sonic.
As Sonic, you'll be able to fly around the arena at extreme speeds, damaging foes on impact, although it is a speed that you'll want to control in order to hit your opponents. If you fly too quickly, your enemies may simply dodge your attack as you pass by.
